Jane studied graphic design at California State University, Chico. Anne earned her bachelor's degree in design from the University of California at Davis. Jane was lured into a partnership by Anne while working as a textile artist for the innovative San Francisco based clothing company, Esprit de Corp in the late '80s.
Carrots, beets and onions earrings have been featured in Smith and Hawken and Shepherd’s Garden Seeds, a bear catching salmon pin in the Nature Conservancy Catalog and their Democratic donkey and Republican elephant pins are sold in the National Senate Gift Store in Washington, D.C.
Celebrities have gone for Anne & Jane’s jewelry, too. Tori Spelling wore their “Singing in the Rain” earrings in an episode of "Beverly Hills 90210", "30-Something"s Hope was often seen wearing one of their pins, including the coyote howling at the moon and a pair of tea pot with dangling cup was much admired by Paloma Picasso. Pet pins are popular with celebrities in all walks of life who love their animals, not only the presidents!
